Why MDM?

People live in a world that is quite different from the way it was just 20 years ago. The skyrocketing divorce rate, increase in violent crime, suicide as the second leading cause of death in the U.S, the high school dropout rate of 60% in many major cities, are just a few of the problems facing this country. In addition, a major gap continues to increase between church and community. The needs of people in the 21st century cry out to the church to find real solutions to real problems.

It seems that most churches and community based nonprofits in America are hampered by stifling traditions, irrelevant programs, and outdated bureaucracies. Perhaps it is time to look at solutions that will breathe 'new life' into the hearts of faith based and community organizations and re-focus them on relevance and organizational mission. Whether faith or community based, mission driven organizations strive to meet needs and point constituents to a people-loving, sin-pardoning Saviour as the way to achieve success in life.
